THE EFFECT OF PITCH ANGLE VARIATION ON PERFORMANCE OF HYBRID DARRIEUS-SAVONIUS DUAL SHAFT VERTICAL WIND TURBINE

All Vertical turbines use a fixed pitch angle; the determination of angle is very influential on characteristics vertical wind turbine. In initial stages planning Savonius Darrieus turbine, an experiment was carried out to determine best angle, and 7 degrees. its development, many designs have changed from design, so it necessary carry field experiments get angle. The purpose this study recommend for hybrid dual shaft turbines. That suit each characteristic with variable performance tip speed ratio (TSR) also (l), coefficient (Cp), mechanical power energy. Data collected 8 hours in real-time, using proximity sensors, anemometers, Arduino Mega record store data computer. collection interval at every 10 seconds. obtained RPM rotor anemometer. results are recommended according speed, 5 degrees 1 m/s 2 a, 3 speed.
